Borrowing wisdom from my friend JoAbnn tonight, as she ponders the wisdom of a great man gone on before us:
Love these words of Henri Nouwen: People who have come to know the joy of God do not deny the darkness but they choose not to live in it. They claim that the light that shines in the darkness can be trusted more than the darkness itself and that a little bit of light can dispel a lot of darkness. They point each other to flashes of light here and there and remind each other that they reveal the hidden but real presence of God.
Love this. I’m not very familiar with Henri Nouwen.
He was a wonderful Catholic brother, who truly lived as the hands, feet, and heart of Jesus. I think you will enjoy reading him. Keep me posted!
I like what he says about light. I am a light that was hidden for a long time you could see that, after I left my husband due to abuse I had peoplt tell me that I was glowing and there was something diffrent about me. My friend told me that they where seeing Gods light in me. but well with my husband he was hidding my light.
Yes! Let that little light shine! Blessings, M
