international women’s day

For several years we have been privileged to support a little girl in Central America named Katherine.  We’ve watched her grow up in her photographs, and have treasured her little drawings and letters, telling us about her life.   She is so grateful for any help she has received.   Without it, her family could not afford to send her to school.   For pennies a month, a little girl is becoming educated.

World Vision celebrates international women’s day today.   This  marvelous organization has provided hope, education, purpose and dignity to thousands of women in third world countries.  If you’d like to help a little girl go to school, purchase a sewing machine so a homeless woman can earn a living or, and this one gets me in the heart, purchase a child out of prostitution.   Here’s their link.
